adidas presenting the unique DFB football campaign Players and trainers celebrate the team spirit and the new WC soccer jersey / TV-Spots as from 11th November
Köln/Herzogenaurach – 9th November 2005 – together with representatives of the German national football team adidas presented its latest DFB campaign and thus once again underscores its standing as number 1 global football label. In addition to the TV and cinema spots the advertising campaign, which is part of the adidas football marketing strategy "+10“, is found in printed media, in the scope of grand poster campaigns, and in the world-wide-web. The agency TBWA in Berlin was in charge of production and implementation.
The German national football team and the team spirit among the eleven forms the focus of the campaign. The main actors - apart from the team manager Jürgen Klinsmann and the captain Michael Ballack – are Gerald Asamoah, Sebastian Deisler, Fabian Ernst, Oliver Kahn, Andreas Köpke, Kevin Kuranyi, Joachim Löw, Lukas Podoslski, Bernd Schneider and Bastian Schweinsteiger. The spot was shot using a particular technique. A technology setting new standards which makes it possible to render the spot in HD design. Furthermore, one camera was used which was able to shoot over 1,000 pics per second, resulting in certain sequences being played back in impressive super slowmo. The kickers in the campaign spot show in various scenes, that success is only possible with the interplay between excellent individual players and the whole team. Thus the centre forward Kevin Kuranyi is just as dependant on a good cross pass as Bastian Schweinsteiger is on a recipient for his deadly passes and Lukas Podolski on a team mate for a genial give-and-go.
