The main topics of the next adidas Originals collection were selected with a great sense for emotion and colour. adidas has been positioned uniquely on the urban street scene since the 70s. The themes of this collection make it clear how sports technology found its way to the streets to become an ageless and dateless classic.
 
Running
 
The "Running" collection is certainly a prime example for the passion with which adidas has been supporting this sport. adidas launched 3 running shoes in sequence in 1984, each fitted with different innovative technologies: Micropacer, the ultimate running model, just as Rising Star and LA Trainer. These models still enjoy great popularity among the target group, even 20 years later. adidas is not only re-launching these shoes with its Spring/Summer collection, it is also extending the package by textiles.

Micropacer 1984 (black/turquoise/lemon peel)
In 1984, the running world was shook with the birth of the adidas Micropacer, the very first shoe with a built-in microcomputer. Launching in a special colorway, celebrating one of the great years for running shoes "1984" , it will feature a nylon upper, a rubber outsole, and a microprocessor as the original Micropacer. Highly limited quantity worldwide.

Rising Star 1984 (dark puple/eggplant/old gold) -only in full sizes available...!
The shoe was originally launched in 1984 as a running shoe that could be adjusted to the runners foot. Its interchangeable EVA elements pushed the shoe technology envelope of the time. Today it is available in a special colorway and will be limited to 1,984 pairs worldwide.

LA Trainer LEA II (white/silver/new navy)
Designed in 1980, this training/competition shoe boasted a cushioning system that athletes could customize by adjusting three variable density heel pegs. Full-grain leather upper with reflecting stripes and heel tab. Injected EVA midsole with adjustable plug cushioning system.

LA Trainer 1984 (black/energy/light onix)
Introduced in 1981 to revolutionize the world of running shoes with its vario shock absorption system, which allowed individual adjustments based on the runner`s weight, running style and running surface. Probably one of the most used running and training shoes of 1984, we are now relaunching the LA Trainer in a special colorway that features a logo celebrating the golden year of adidas running shoes.

 Pistol Pete
"Pistol Pete" Maravich, one of the best 50 NBA players ever who holds almost all the score records in US College Basketball provided the stimulating inspiration for this collection. Maravich was known as "Pistol Pete" for shooting the ball from his hip like a cowboy and for inspiring and enthusing the spectators with his ball artistry and dribbling. The Pro Model Org, a basketball shoe with which Pistol Pete competed in many a game for the Atlanta Hawks in the 70s is included in the Spring/Summer collection 2006. The 'Pistol Pete' range includes an exceptional textile collection and accessories in addition to the shoes.

"World Cup",Beckenbauer Allround (white/white/black) adidas Originals
Launched in 1982 as an all purposed soccer and training shoe this was one of Franz `Der Kaiser`Beckenbauer`s signature models.This once popular football boot is offered in several new colorways, each one featuring a unique graphical sing-off as well as a durable rubber midsole and outsole.
