adicolor 2006: Self expression and customization adicolor: "Stan Smith CF M W 4" Goofy (white) adidas Originals Special Limited Edition Ever since Walt Disney launched Goofy in the 1930s he has been the funniest, most awkward, toothiest, good-spirited dog with such a loveable manner making him popular among all. Goofy's positive attitude "I'll try anything" was the motto for the "Sport Goofy" sports programme in the eighties. The project, which naturally developed from an introductory series which began in 1941, was named after the official mascot of the French Olympics Team. The German Sports Association supported him and even the mascot of the Juniors Tennis ITB WM was drawn along his lines. In 1983, also the year in which the adicolor concept was launched, adidas was requested to participate in an unusual joint project with the Walt Disney Company and the ITB with the aim of enhancing the interest for tennis among teenagers. This is how the world-famous, generally popular figure became the supporter of sports. His message: No matter whether you win or lose – simply stand up, try and above all have fun. The Stan Smith Comfort, named after the legendary American tennis player, is an absolute adidas classic. Goofy's connection to tennis was what made it decisive and an absolute MUST for Goofy to be represented on this model. A sketched Goofy drawing a self-portrait can also be seen on this shoe. On the other side of the shoe a reverse image can be seen. The model has been reworked and Goofy is found in pencil graphics on the Velcro fastener and on the heel straps. Furthermore, this model has an unusual, semi-transparent sole through which you can see a laughing Goofy. Thanks to the adicolor pens (6 pieces) supplied with every product a selective design is possible, not to forget the exclusive "Sport Goofy" post card.Quantities: 25000
